Pinpointing and providing the causes of single- or multi-vehicle accidents and injuries resulting from elevators, escalators, falling down stairs or tripping on the sidewalk can be a daunting task.
What happened and what contributed to the accident? Was it human error or a component failure? Were there deficiencies in the roadway or traffic control systems? Were the proper signs posted?
Through scientific investigation, testing, modeling and analysis, we go “back in time” to reconstruct the accident and answer these questions.
Our transportation engineers and accident reconstructionists use sophisticated equipment and tools in their analysis, including:
- Biomechanics – Are the injuries consistent with the accident?
- Failure Analysis – Did any of the vehicles’ numerous components contribute to the accident?
- Crash Data Retrieval System – What does the pre- and post-accident crash data from the vehicle’s air-bag module (on models where available) reveal?
- Transportation Engineering – Did roadway design and traffic-control devices contribute to the accident?
